Robin has been invited to put on a solo exhibition at this famous boys independent school near Oxford. The school has established a reputation for art through its prestigious art department and purpose-built gallery in the Sewell Centre, where regular shows take place.

As extensive refurbishments are due to take place in the Sewell Centre Gallery in the Spring of 2012, Robin's exhibition will be housed in the foyer of the New Theatre, an equally attractive setting for his paintings of Venice and St Ives.

This will be the first opportunity to see a major show of Robin's work in the Oxford area since the closure of Inspires Gallery in Oxford, where he exhibited successfully for many years.

This will be the first time Robin has exhibited at the Salthouse Gallery, which has only recently become available to artists wishing to show their work in St Ives. He is hoping that exhibiting here will become a regular part of his annual activities, replacing the Rose Lodge Studios on the harbour, where he showed for many years.

The Salthouse Gallery has a very long-established reputation as one of the leading contemporary galleries in St Ives, run by the artist and poet Bob Devereux until his retirement from this particular venture in 2010. It promises to be an excellent venue, situated as it is opposite the entrance to the Mariners Gallery, where the St Ives Society of Artists have their headquarters.

In September, as in 2011, Robin will be showing at the gallery at Cornerways Guest House a short walk away from Salthouse.
